For more nearly five decades, Buider Levy has been making photographs, intertwining social documentary, street and art photography. In 2008, he received a Guggenheim Fellowship to continue and complete his work spanning forty years in the Appalachian coalfields. He has been the receipant of numerous other awards and grants and has had over fifty solo exhibitions of his work.
