The influence of home, with all of that word's complex connotations, has affected artists from Joyce and Faulkner to the anonymous mountain ballad singer. I am interested in how a specific place, in this case my home, can serve as a resource and an envelope for a body of work. These pictures were made in northeast Tennessee between 2004 and 2008.
